How To Disable Playback For Microphone Windows 10

Y'all should be able to plough off microphone playback through the speaker's Control Console settings:

Right-click the speaker icon in the notification area
Select Playback devices
Right-click the output device
Select Backdrop
Click the Levels tab
Find the Microphone device
Click the speaker icon next to the microphone to mute information technology
Click [OK] in the two dialog boxes

set the Output to Realtek Digital Output (or whatsoever output device you're using).

Later on having gone through all the above solutions, with no success, even when the Mic was supposedly disabled, I felt every bit if there was another MIC set.
Sure enough - the solution was to be constitute in the Realtek Sound Director:

Yes, that is a different set of tabs and dialogs. (I for ane prefer to prepare every attribute of the microphone to the lowest settings and muted… and cover the photographic camera.)

This solution worked for me (on Windows x), while the accustomed answer was not an choice (the settings did not include "microphone" in the "levels" tab).
